Another favourite sci fi universe of mine is that of Command & Conquer. The conflicts between GDI and Nod have taken many hours form me over the years and this made them another choice for building an army.
I made the decision after I saw a previous gamers conversions which transformed GW terminators into GDI zone troopers. I decided I had to give this a go and the results are below.
The Zone troopers are made from GW terminators with the head region altered to create the iconic faceplate. A backpack is made from a cadian flamethrower tank with an antenna attached. The railguns are made from two Tau pulse rifles stuck together with the underslung grenade launcher from a pulse carbine turned into a scope and standard space marine arms replace terminator ones.
Of course once I'd made some Zone troopers I needed some standard troopers to accompany them into battle. I decided to set the time period for my army as inbetween the second and third game so I could have some flexibility on how my units looked. I prefer the second war infantry look but prefer the third war look for other units such as Titans, Zone troopers, snipers etc.
So here are my second war era infantry. These are made from cadian upper bodies with catachan legs. the helmets are modified cadian with greenstuff visors. the rifles have been modified to make them more closely resemble shell firing weapons, some have been shortened or lengthened to make carbines and battle rifles and one figure has been given a SM scout rocket launcher. One trooper has been turned into a disk thrower and another a medic. As with the Zone troopers a number of crystals have been made from cut up pieces of sprue and then painted to create the glow effect.
And finally for today, A GDI Wolverine. This is made from a SM Dreadnought with a pair of modified multilasers acting as miniguns and the leg armour stripped off. A pretty easy conversion.
I have made additional figures; a Titan, Tiberium fiends, GDI drop troopers and jump jet troopers which I shall post another day when I have the figures to hand.

28mm Halo
Hi,
The purpose of this blog is so I can showcase the various conversions I have made in my attempts to create themed armies from a variety of sci fi universes.
I shall be posting about each of these in turn, posting photos and how I made the figures, where possible.
Recently I started thinking about creating an army based upon the Halo universe. I have been a fan of Halo for many years and have long wished that 28mm scale figures existed for Halo's marines, Spartans and Covenant warriors. Having decided that I would have to convert my own I started looking for inspiration.
I felt that the ODSTs of Halo would be a good starting point. I had some visored helmets from Pig Iron and some legs I picked up from maxmini which are almost a perfect match for the marines of Halo.
This is the result.

While they are not perfect copies I feel they are close enough to be recognisable. The squad is made up of a Sergeant with a rifle and suppressed pistol, assault rifle, two SMGs, 2 battle rifle, SAW, sniper rifle, LMG and shotgun. The Pig Iron helmets have been altered with green stuff to extend the peak to make it more like an ODST helmet. The cadian lasguns have been converted to make them more "Haloish" and a scout sniper rifle and heavy bolter have been used. Backpacks are Pig Iron system trooper packs and weapon scopes are from Anvil industries. I may post some more pictures to better show some of the individual figures if anyone shows interest.
Future planned projects include a warthog, pelican and some standard marines.
